Children's Safety & Sites United

This is the homepage for the Children's Safety & Sites United Ring(s), started on April 30, 1998. The focus of the pages within this web linking system is on children and on safety: abuse and violence education, awareness, and prevention.

There are certain limitations and requirements for the ring:
~ No Porn/Adult Sites ~
~ No GL/BL Sites (pedophile and/or pro-pedophilia) ~
~ No Sites Advertising/Advancing Hate Propaganda ~
~ No Sites Advocating Illegal and/or Illicit Behavior ~
~ No Anti-Law Enforcement Sites ~
~ No Sites Graphically Depicting any Act of Violence ~

Except for the types of sites listed above, individuals, agencies, groups, and organizations are welcome to join:
~ Children's Advocates ~
~ Victims' Advocates ~
~ Public Safety Personnel ~
~ Medical/Emotional Health Care Providers ~
~ Adult/Trauma Survivors ~

For Net visitors to be able to surf easily from one site-page to the next, here are a few guidelines to help and to streamline linking of pages that relate to the focus of the ring:

1. The page must have information, resources and/or links relevant to children's and/or public safety, and not just links to other sites;

2. Include the required HTML Code -- and display the ring graphic, if you choose the ring appearance w/graphic -- with all links on the page entered to be in the ring;

3. Download the graphic and place it onto your own server. Don't run the image off the thecpac.com server, which includes when the graphic for the ring appears on pages opening through other servers/hosts;

4. All rings will follow the example of the ring's appearance - with revisions to font and table color to complement your individual pages;

5. Include your ring ID when you send E-mail about the ring - so that your site is easily found and accessed if needed. (Also include your page URL in related messages.)

6. Any ring submission that sets in the queue for 14 days without placing the ring on the site, will be deleted.

~ How to join the Children's Safety & Sites United SiteRing ~

Here are the steps that need to be followed to join. Please follow the steps closely to preserve the integrity of the ring:

1. CLICK HERE to join the childsafety ring. You will need to choose and enter a Site ID and Password for your site before you can press "Get Form" button to Join. You will also be asked to enter a Site ID (a name of your choice for your site's ID used in the code you will receive after joining).

2. Fill out the form to register your site. You will be sent your HTML Code, with your ID number and information already inserted. You will need to copy and paste it into your source document.

3. Save a copy of the graphic: "cpaccs1.gif"; click on the gif link cited, and download directly from there, not from this page since the images are different and the ones on this page will not appear on other sites -- if copied from this URL.

4. Once you have placed the HTML Code for the ring on your website-page, along with the graphic, E-mail that you did so. Remember to Include your Site ID number and URL in the message.

5. If the HTML Code and graphic do not appear on the URL you submit for participating in the ring, your site will not be added from the queue and will be automatically deleted within 14 days.

6. Member sites are tested periodically to determine one site links to directly to the next within the WebRing. Sites that do not have the HTML Code on the URL listed within the SiteRing will be removed.

7. To manage your site:
http://www.crickrock.com/cgi-bin/webring/siteadmin.pl?ringid=childsafety;siteid=SITEID

You will need to replace SITEID with your Site ID (which you select when filling out the form to join the ring).
