Hiter Beatrice Shockley: Missing
San Antonio Police Report: #98-422-367
Reporting Officer: Manuel Cedillo
Telephone: (210)207-7420
Hiter Beatrice Shockley boarded Kerrville Coach Lines bus number 5926 in
San Antonio, Texas, on July 14, 1998, and he was scheduled to arrive in
Temecula ("Rancho"), California, July 15, 1998. He didn't arrive
in Temecula as planned. Mr. Shockley has made similar trips in the past,
and arrived as scheduled. It is totally atypical for him to not be where
he planned. His home state is Arkansas, and he has not returned to his
home (in Arkansas).
Mr. Shockley is a mild diabetic, and he is believed to have had a mild
stroke a few months ago. He is in need of high blood pressure medicine.
He takes Vitamin E. He smokes non-filtered Camel cigarettes. He speaks
with a slight Arkansas accent or dialect.
He wears wire-rim glasses, he has no peripheral vision in his right eye,
he has difficulty turning his head left and right due to having had rheumatic
fever and a fall from a horse, and he walks with a moderate hunch.
He was last seen wearing a grey, long-sleeve shirt, faded black jeans,
and black dress shoes. He has a maroon, nylon backpack with a change of
clothes. He has two Arkansas telephone directories in his possession. He
usually wears an inexpensive wrist-watch on his left wrist, and often carries
a small pocket knife, which might be an old "Case" knife.
